Timing ( right time & right place )

I remember going to Little League tryouts. Here I was, six feet tall and skinny as a rail. Stood heads taller than most of the other kids, but I was so uncoordinated that when I tried to stop a grounder, the ball would somehow shoot right through my legs and people would just laugh. I ran funny, and I could not judge a fly ball and when I was where the ball was, I would drop it.

One year later, now playing in the Pony League and  some of the boys were as big as me. The difference now was, I could run like a deer, stop ground balls and make catching a fly ball look like a piece of cake. Through all the embarrassment of goofy mistakes the year before, I had to wait a year to mature enough to play the right way. Timing is everything. What I couldn’t do a year earlier, I could do now.

Life is full of moments like this, and many times we just have to wait for the right time and right place. God has given us gifts and callings that are placed inside of us. We must wait on God, who not only created all physical things, but also created and rules over time and space. We can be on a ball field or working a job or serving in church, but we must wait on God to let us know, ” This is it, boy, your time has come to step up to the plate and use what I have put inside of you to bring me glory.” There is only one way, and that way is to wait, trust and obey. NOW! Be Blessed and Remain a Blessing!
