Time is a word that interrupts our thoughts a zillion different ways. Some say it’s just a way to measure an event such as a test or, to the sports minded, it’s the time of a game, speed of the runner or the velocity of a thrown ball.
My Lord has been helping me to contemplate time the last several days. Time to me is the start or beginning of a life in the womb of a mother where we are formed, hopefully for nine months. Our time in the womb has expired when we are fully developed and come out into the light and are met with a slap on the bottom. I know it’s a harsh greeting but it is our way to let you know you are in a new place and time. God has a plan to help us adapt to our new surroundings. This plan with God’s hand leading us, will lead us all the days of our lives.
We are appointed a time to live and a time to die. The bible says that our times are in His hands and He is the author and finisher of our faith. The question is, will we accept His son Jesus in the time we are allotted to live on this earth. None of us know the life and time span we have for this decision. A short time or a long one, only the Lord knows; but what we do know is that this decision is ours to make.
I hope when our time comes that we all have made the right decision. Holy Spirit, I ask you to help each one make their choice. In the meantime Be Blessed and Remain a Blessing.
When as a small boy, dad and I would go hunting together. Riding in the car we sometimes talked, and other times we would just be quiet and enjoy the silence together. In the car or in the forest we did not have to talk, but the whole time we knew and felt each other’s presence.
There have been moments while attending a prayer meeting that there has been both men and women. They have each said that they either did not know how to pray or what they should say. The only thing I could tell them is that God is always with you and will never leave you, so just talk to Him as if He was your husband or wife, as the case may be. To pray is just having a conversation, and talking to the one you love should come easy. The main thing to do is always trust your heart, because out of the heart come the issues of life as the bible instructs us.
An easy way to learn to pray is open your bible to Psalms and read and pray the scripture verses, and sometimes while praying God will bring a person or a need that someone has. When those moments come, stop reading and pray over that need God has placed in your mind. God is always there for you and He is the best teacher of all. He is just as excited as you are to have a prayer conversation. Be Blessed and Remain a Blessing.
