What’s In Your Mouth

Moses had a rod, David had a sling. Today people don’t carry a rod or a sling. What we have today, because of what Christ did on Calvary, is the Holy Spirit. I believe God gave us Moses, David and the prophets as examples of how to move and act in the kingdom of God. Now His question may well be, “What is in your mouth?” Will you use it by faith and declare the word of God?                           In the physical world and the spiritual, an effect has been accomplished since the beginning of time. It’s called action and reaction. When we speak or pray, God listens. When we move, God moves. This is a natural cause and effect that He put in place in the beginning. God desires for us to walk by faith and speak the word by the unction and anointing of the Spirit. God, for some reason, will not move unless someone prays.                          God is still trying to find people who will believe and pray, and are willing to open their mouth and speak to God for the people. When we give God our need, He will cause an effect to happen. Sometimes He may answer our prayer in a different way than we expected, or in our time, but He will answer.                                    So, where’s your mouth, more importantly, where is your heart? You will find the answer in the choice you make. Beloved, somewhere inside of you may be a Moses or a David. Love you all.

The Voice

The really first time I heard His voice was when I was visiting another church. Sitting toward the back, I heard the “sermon on the mount,” and as the minister was leaving the stage, the Holy Spirit said to me, this may be your last chance. I leaped out of the pew and made my way to the altar, and gave my life to Christ.

Only one time was His voice loud, and that was while I was singing praises to my God, and He said, “You will have another child.” Immediately after work I told my wife what the Lord had said. After two miscarriages, that word was a God-send, and we did have another child. She was our third and last. I have heard His voice many times, but remember my friends, this is over a forty seven year period.  I don’t believe He gives us a word every few seconds. I’m saying this because I don’t want people going crazy thinking they can hear voices all the time.

He can speak to each person in the way their hearing understands, because we all listen differently. Just make sure it lines up with the word of God. His voice is like no other to me. It’s quiet and so soft that it’s almost a whisper. He can brush across the heart so lightly, yet it might feel like a jolt. The sound of love is in His voice. It brings  calm and yet a confidence that I hear. We know His voice can speak healing to His child, and yet those that war against Him know His wrath. His voice is so wonderful that when you hear it you want to draw even closer to Him to hear it again.

He says try me, test me, know me by my word, and know that I am the living God, and that there is no other. Be Blessed and Remain a Blessing

The Twinkling Eye

As we sat down in our car and got ready to leave the church parking lot, I told my wife about a conversation with one of the men in church. This man told me, as a civil servant he had traveled to Pearl Harbor aboard a naval ship. I told my wife that my friend had traveled the world, and I haven’t traveled much further than my home state. My sweet wife said to me,” Honey, you have traveled the world in prayer, and there is not a place you haven’t been.”

It helped more then she will ever know. Having faith in me meant so much. I have traveled to every country and city of the world, and have been to every home, prison and hospital, through prayer.

When I speak the name of Jesus in prayer, in the twinkling of an eye, I’m kneeling humbly before the throne of God. He loves me so much, He’s given me His full attention and I believe the room is stilled in silence so we could talk together. The things I share with Him are for His ears. He allows me to leave, reassuring me the Holy Spirit would be in touch, and answers would be coming also. Many times He has said yes to my prayers, and sometimes, in His wisdom, He has said not now. He has never failed me at any time, and His word is good enough for me. All things are possible if we just believe, and you can take that journey before the throne yourself. Go now! If you are a child of God, just pray the name of Jesus and experience being there in the twinkling of an eye, and meet Him yourself. Will you be the one to plead a person’s case with God? Let God’s compassion rule in your heart, and trust the Holy Spirit. There are things He can do through your faith. Be Blessed

Know Your Adversary

Growing up I have always enjoyed hunting large and small game. Summertime you could usually find me out in the fields hunting groundhogs. Using a rifle, some shots were fairly long while others were taken close up. I had a friend with me one day when I spied a groundhog a little ways off, and I told him we could walk up on that groundhog, and he said, “You’ve got to be kidding.” I told him it could be done because, unlike deer and most other animals, a groundhog’s eyes are set in their head and they can’t rotate like most other animals. Get behind me and we will walk closer to him. Now when his nose is pointed at us, we can walk, but when he turns his head with his eye toward us, stop and stand still, because he can spot movement real easy. Sure enough, we were able to get fairly close and it was fun to see my friend get excited. This alone made the trip worthwhile.

Now there is an adversary, the devil, that is really dangerous to everyone’s well being. He is a liar and the father of all lies, and he uses every lie and deceptive means to get what he wants. He will try to ruin your witness and salvation. He works through people, unbeknownst to themselves, who may say or do something they didn’t mean to do. He tries to bring down as many people as he can. The spirit of pride is used more often than any other tool the devil possesses. Everybody can fall victim – a person may get a job you think you deserve, another person  might sing in church in your place, and what about the piano, well maybe you can play better than they. These are just a few deceiving lies that could ruin your witness. Beware of these and the devil’s own lies. Defeat him by using what he meant for bad and turn it to good. How? By prayer, perhaps like this,”Lord, I thank you that the other guy got the job. He’s a good man. Give him favor and bless him in this new position, or she can really sing  and please anoint her singing. Use her songs to convict and draw souls to you.” When the occasion arises, pray for others and esteem others above yourself. Pray with all prayers and plead the power of Jesus blood and praise God in all things. Be blessed as you watch and pray.

My God

My God is not a God, my God is the only God, the creator and author of all living things. He is the beginning and ending, author and finisher. His word is not maybe. When He says it’s finished, it is finished.

His compassion has no boundaries. He loves the young and the old, rich and the poor. He sees not the color of skin, but hears the need of the heart. He heals the sick, lifts up the lame, gives sight to the blind and raises the dead.

He is my God, my Savior, my Lord, my Healer, my Redeemer, my Father, my Friend, and my Counselor.

My God walks, talks, leads, guides and prays with me. He knows my every need, therefore I shall not want. His name is called the great I AM. He shelters me under His arm and watches over me day and night, never sleeps nor slumbers. His only Son, Jesus, name above all names, loved you and me so much that He gave up His life that we may live. My Savior came out of the grave on the third day, conquered death and defeated Satan.

What a glorious Savior. Who would not serve this God, this mighty king of glory. What a friend I have in Jesus. Is it any wonder that I should make my boast in Him? Knowing when I speak His name, He comes, not because of who I am, but because He loves me. He and I walk in the forest together and talk, and He tells me I am His own. He alone teaches me to pray, how and what to pray. His ways are not my ways, but He is patient and is helping me to know His ways.

His Holy Spirit is teaching me to be sensitive to His promptings, His gifts and most of all, to His voice. He is my God, my King. Have I told you this? He is teaching me to watch and pray, to be still and listen, wait and obey.

Rejoice, be happy, shout unto God with the voice of triumph. His sweet voice is always in my heart, the words for all to hear. Call unto me all who are weary and I will give you rest, I love you and I am listening for your prayer. Where are you? Hello, are you there? God says, come to me, and walk with me, learn of me, that your life should be full.

The door of Opportunity

Dad, why did you measure that board and then cut it at an angle? As boy, I was always asking dad everything, and he would take time to listen. Dad and mom are gone now, and it hit me pretty hard when mom died. All at once I realized I was alone in my heart, even though I’m married to a wonderful wife, and I’m sure she had similar feelings when her parents passed on.

Now that Christ has accepted me as His adopted son, I now have a father I can go to and talk about anything, and He listens to me. He hears my words, and listens to my heart, and with love and wisdom, He answers me. It is not always what I want to hear, but it is always what I need. I so dearly want everyone to know that when God accepts you, He has because of what Jesus did on Calvary – given each one of us an open door into His throne. I take being His adopted son seriously, and the responsibility of praying for all people is what I’m called to. I may not be the most articulate at praying, but I’m trying to give Him my all.

The door is open and His invitation is to all who will accept Him as their Saviour. He is waiting to receive all who are willing. He has a position and calling for everyone to serve. I would take this offer if I were you. It’s the best one you will ever get. Talk to you later my friends, I can’t wait to hear what God has next for me to do. In the meantime, be blessed and a blessing.

My thoughts bring me back to my name, and who I am, and what I want to be. Many well meaning people, innocently, instead of using a person’s name, attach titles to them instead. I’ve heard a few names like faith healer, prayer warrior, intercessor, burden bearer. All of these are good names. To be honest and a little scared, I cringe when I am called something, because lurking  behind each of these names is the spirit of pride, always beckoning  me, or any other person, to take hold of this pride and wear it like a mantle for all to see.

God says in His word to walk humbly before Him, and also that the meek shall inherit the earth. I never asked, seek or wanted to be seen. If the Lord would allow me to walk among the meek, I would be so thankful and honored. I would be a rich happy man if He would allow me to continue praying for and with people. There is no greater joy than to see and hear people praising and thanking God for working in their lives. Seek first the Kingdom of God and all these things will be added unto you. In the meantime, keep serving Him and be blessed.
