The really first time I heard His voice was when I was visiting another church. Sitting toward the back, I heard the “sermon on the mount,” and as the minister was leaving the stage, the Holy Spirit said to me, this may be your last chance. I leaped out of the pew and made my way to the altar, and gave my life to Christ.
Only one time was His voice loud, and that was while I was singing praises to my God, and He said, “You will have another child.” Immediately after work I told my wife what the Lord had said. After two miscarriages, that word was a God-send, and we did have another child. She was our third and last. I have heard His voice many times, but remember my friends, this is over a forty seven year period. I don’t believe He gives us a word every few seconds. I’m saying this because I don’t want people going crazy thinking they can hear voices all the time.
He can speak to each person in the way their hearing understands, because we all listen differently. Just make sure it lines up with the word of God. His voice is like no other to me. It’s quiet and so soft that it’s almost a whisper. He can brush across the heart so lightly, yet it might feel like a jolt. The sound of love is in His voice. It brings calm and yet a confidence that I hear. We know His voice can speak healing to His child, and yet those that war against Him know His wrath. His voice is so wonderful that when you hear it you want to draw even closer to Him to hear it again.
He says try me, test me, know me by my word, and know that I am the living God, and that there is no other. Be Blessed and Remain a Blessing
As we sat down in our car and got ready to leave the church parking lot, I told my wife about a conversation with one of the men in church. This man told me, as a civil servant he had traveled to Pearl Harbor aboard a naval ship. I told my wife that my friend had traveled the world, and I haven’t traveled much further than my home state. My sweet wife said to me,” Honey, you have traveled the world in prayer, and there is not a place you haven’t been.”
It helped more then she will ever know. Having faith in me meant so much. I have traveled to every country and city of the world, and have been to every home, prison and hospital, through prayer.
When I speak the name of Jesus in prayer, in the twinkling of an eye, I’m kneeling humbly before the throne of God. He loves me so much, He’s given me His full attention and I believe the room is stilled in silence so we could talk together. The things I share with Him are for His ears. He allows me to leave, reassuring me the Holy Spirit would be in touch, and answers would be coming also. Many times He has said yes to my prayers, and sometimes, in His wisdom, He has said not now. He has never failed me at any time, and His word is good enough for me. All things are possible if we just believe, and you can take that journey before the throne yourself. Go now! If you are a child of God, just pray the name of Jesus and experience being there in the twinkling of an eye, and meet Him yourself. Will you be the one to plead a person’s case with God? Let God’s compassion rule in your heart, and trust the Holy Spirit. There are things He can do through your faith. Be Blessed
My God is not a God, my God is the only God, the creator and author of all living things. He is the beginning and ending, author and finisher. His word is not maybe. When He says it’s finished, it is finished.
His compassion has no boundaries. He loves the young and the old, rich and the poor. He sees not the color of skin, but hears the need of the heart. He heals the sick, lifts up the lame, gives sight to the blind and raises the dead.
He is my God, my Savior, my Lord, my Healer, my Redeemer, my Father, my Friend, and my Counselor.
My God walks, talks, leads, guides and prays with me. He knows my every need, therefore I shall not want. His name is called the great I AM. He shelters me under His arm and watches over me day and night, never sleeps nor slumbers. His only Son, Jesus, name above all names, loved you and me so much that He gave up His life that we may live. My Savior came out of the grave on the third day, conquered death and defeated Satan.
What a glorious Savior. Who would not serve this God, this mighty king of glory. What a friend I have in Jesus. Is it any wonder that I should make my boast in Him? Knowing when I speak His name, He comes, not because of who I am, but because He loves me. He and I walk in the forest together and talk, and He tells me I am His own. He alone teaches me to pray, how and what to pray. His ways are not my ways, but He is patient and is helping me to know His ways.
His Holy Spirit is teaching me to be sensitive to His promptings, His gifts and most of all, to His voice. He is my God, my King. Have I told you this? He is teaching me to watch and pray, to be still and listen, wait and obey.
Rejoice, be happy, shout unto God with the voice of triumph. His sweet voice is always in my heart, the words for all to hear. Call unto me all who are weary and I will give you rest, I love you and I am listening for your prayer. Where are you? Hello, are you there? God says, come to me, and walk with me, learn of me, that your life should be full.
